Clap is a natural language tool that helps high schoolers get into college, by counseling them on personal interests, finding related extracurricular opportunities, and identifying university programs that fit their profile.

While the current admissions system tries to increase racial, gender, and ethnic diversity — what ends up happening is a very complex process that advantages those with more resources.

Many of us on the Clap team came from underprivileged backgrounds. We believe emerging machine learning technologies could help reduce this barrier meaningfully, and create a sustainable public interest solution.
